With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Zöe Brass.

Born on May 19, 1995, Zöe was a devoted mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend. She found greatest joy in spending time with her family and surrounding herself with those she loved most. Zöe had just begun her journey in social work, following her calling to help others with the same compassion, strength, and generosity she showed throughout her life.

She leaves behind to mourn her precious son, Daxton Sayer-Brass; father Sterling Brass; sisters Kaylee Bird (husband Francis) and Hailey Briltz; brother Isaac Racette; uncle Mervin Brass (wife Stephanie); aunties Annie Brass and Michelle Brass. She will also be deeply missed by her nieces and nephews - Monroe, Gabby, Edna, Phil, Tanner, Kaitlyn "Tootoo", and Riley; as well as her special cousins Wyatt, Raven, Harley, Poetry, Kendra, Lakota, Bailey, Mayson and Traeger; special friend Ethan.

Zöe was predeceased by her beloved Moshum Sterling Brass; Kokum Edna Brass; cousins Monica and Denise "Duck".

Her memory will live on through the love she gave, the laughter she shared, and the dreams she carried for herself and her family.

A wake will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 4pm in the Asiniw-Kisik Education Complex. Funeral services will take place the following day, Sunday, September 14, 2025, at 11am in the same location. Family and friends are invited to gather and share memories.

Forever loved, forever missed, and never forgotten. That girl was tough as nails.
